ABOUT ME

On a rainy night in 1998, two clueless parents tried everything they knew to make their 2-year-old stop crying. The mother tried pointing at the moving cars on the road, tried singing a song, and even tried to put on a dance step, but the baby did not give a damn. He just kept on crying.

The Father, who had enough turned the car and stopped at a movie theatre, the man already had a rough day at work and a crying baby was the last thing he wanted. The Parents, scared and doubtful about taking the son to the cinemas, stood there thinking. After waiting for a couple of minutes, they thought to themselves,' Ah! What the hell, how bad can it be'. And they went inside.

The Moment all three got in, The Mom and Dad witnessed something they had never seen before, a calm baby.
He immediately stopped crying and fell in love with the big screen.

Thus began the love story of Andrews Dev Clarson and cinema.

P.S. The baby never cried again.

On a more serious note, I've been working as an independent filmmaker for the past four years. Two of my short films have gone on to seek representation at International Film Festivals, with my latest short film SHIT (2020) bagging an honorary mention at the 'Cinema of the World 2020' Film festival.

I also work as an Assistant Director in the Malayalam Film Industry.
The films I have been a part of include One (2021), Operation Java (2021), and Thallumaala (2022).

I'm also currently working on my debut feature film as a Writer/Director.
